The work of Mauss is here approached under the angle of sociology and anthropology of the body of which he was a pioneer. His work about body technologies, obligatory expression of emotions, or those about symbolic efficiency which prefigure those of C. Lévi-Strauss. His work profoundly marked the contemporary researches.
