Under what conditions could the distribution of a universal income be emancipating for women? The way universal income is presented by its promoters makes it a means of choosing one’s activities, without taking into account the social constraints to which women are subject. The fact that a measure taken in theory in favour of everyone does not mean that it affects everyone equally. There is still a lack of research on these issues. How can we prevent universal income from being just an accompaniment to “uberisation”?
