In this interview, Marcus Rediker comments on past and recent struggles (for the abolition of slavery or against the racist death penalty), showing how they managed to assemble heterogeneous forces around a common cause. He stresses the need to agitate, in order to mobilize political movements where certain forms of rage and certain simplifying slogans can help to keep our eyes on the more important goals.
