The care provided to Unaccompanied Minors (UAMs) often depends on a temporality that imposes the “here and now” on adolescents and the professionals who work with them, leaving little room for the history and individuality of the subject. With this in mind, we experimented with a group mediation workshop using drawings to draw a tree of “those who matter to them”._x000D_ This article analyses the results obtained. In particular, this mediation enabled them to recount their filiation and affiliations, while establishing links between their memories of the past, the present and their projections for the future. We also discuss the future of the drawing object, a medium for a creative and different narrative, conducive to the establishment of a bond of trust with their educational referents. We conclude with the prospects for adapting this workshop and making it a permanent feature. The transcultural dimension of this mediation helped to reintegrate the teenagers into their own unique history and to establish links between their world here and the world they had left behind.
