About

Born in Chinon in 1948, Philippe Janvier is a paleontologist with a special interest in the first vertebrates of the Paleozoic (535-360 million years ago). A CNRS employee since 1975, he has also worked at the French National Museum of Natural History. He is a member of the French Academy of Sciences.
