Péter Erdö, born in 1952, has been Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest and Primate of Hungary since 2003. He has taught theology at the University of Esztergom, the Gregorian University, the Catholic University of Argentina and the Lateran University. He was President of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences (CCEE) from 2006 to 2016.
