This article focuses on the new academic model of global studies and presents it as a challenge to be taken up by the Higher Education sector. This is particularly important at a time when universities must train students to be systematic citizens and researchers whose research must, if not incorporate other disciplines, at least attempt to meet them, in order to give their research more complexity, interdisciplinary openness, and better societal actionability. Finally, this article illustrates the application of this new academic model to a program at the University of Lorraine, the PeeL (Pôle entrepreneuriat étudiant de Lorraine), as well as to the teachers and researchers who are associated with it and to the stakeholders of the relevant ecosystem.
