Drawing on their respective work, Léna Dormeau and Félicien Faury explore the affective mechanisms through which whiteness is structured, legitimized, and reproduced. In this conversation, they revisit the notions of vulnerability, innocence, and liminality, and, through these, articulate the following question: what are white people afraid of?
