The author wants to get away from getting bogged down in a debate about police brutalities, in order to look at the deeper reasons behind the brutal repression of the Soulèvements de la Terre (Earth Uprisings). For him, it is a question of repressing the challenge to the system on the level of production (and no longer on that of consumption) through the defence of territories. This reflects the confrontation of two worlds, the questioning of the relationship between humans and non-humans.
