Territory (territories), a political object if ever there was one, has emerged in the presidential campaign as an electoral issue. This Minor has set itself the task of “cooling” the debate, of looking beneath the ideologies carried by the word, of breaking down the territorial polysemy. The author wanted to propose here a point of view on the controversies which agitate the scientific circles around the territorial forms and dynamics. By the same token, these disputes confront public action with spatial pracices, by mixing objectivities and subjectivities. In this way, the territory is a political stance.
