The themes of robot slavery, Promethean rebellion and the war of the species seem consubstantial with the imagination of artificial creatures as well as with sexualized desire towards an artificial creature. But when the idea of a possible mutual aid between humans and non-humans, to regain their mutual rights, appears in the plot, as well as a vision of cohabitation based on the recognition of differences, the metaphysical question of freedom gives way to the question of attachment and the problematic of autonomy gives way to that of interdependence. It is this political utopia that is deployed in contemporary series featuring Artificial Intelligences, from Real Humans to Westworld.
