Ecofeminism resulted from the encounter between feminist aspirations and ecological struggles, tying together a critique of domination upon nature and upon women, refusing to separate production from reproduction (biological and social). It has developed into a rich diversity of movements, in the USA but also in various countries from the South. These movements share a common refusal to put politics in the service of nature, as well as a common attempt to find in nature, considered as a community of life, the source of a new politics.
