Social work is a truly ordinary activity. But it is also a range of trades and professions. This sector has been subjected for a number of years to drastic restructurings due to the State’s willingness to reduce public debt. Used as a variable to adjust budget cuts and public policies, social work is now confronted with the proliferation of institutions and devices devoted to security, conceived towards social intervention.
