The films by Algerian director Tariq Teguia can be described as “mapping fictions” driven by documentary intensities. This article analyzes two short films in which enigmatic scenes stage two portraits where the person of the director is simultaneously documented and disseminated, diffracted through multiple encounters and multiples territories.
