While our attention is focused towards the prototypes of companion-robots expected to care for the elderly in nations subjected to demographic decline, a silent revolution is already happening in our management of medications. Thanks to automation, the delivery of medication in single doses is about to become not only possible, but common practice in our hospitals as in pharmacies, generating significant disruptions in the work of pharmacists and physicians.
