The movement referred to as Anonymous shares a surprising lot of characteristics with the Luddite movements, famous for opposing the socio-economic consequences of industrialization in the 19th century. What can we learn from this parallel, as well as from the specificity of each movement? Another way of understanding the relations between names, masks, fictions, and uprisings.
