Since 2002, the government of Catalonia has legalized prostitution in clubs. Traditionally, prostitution has spread along wars and military occupation. In Europe, the institutionalization of prostitution has created enclaves spearheading the progress of economic liberalization, managed by local governments. Women trade in the body-capital, but voluntary supply is not abundant enough, so migrants are recruited, usually from Eastern Europe, with women subjected to repaying their debt to those who smuggled them in.
