The evolutive rhythm of technologies is irreducible to the diffusion of innovations cycle, as it has been formalized by sociologist Everett Rogers. The techno-rhythm is not economical, but rather cultural. As such, it consists of the multiplicity of uses, often unpredictable, which misappropriate the products and services, sometimes to turn them against power. Two highlights illustrate this rhythm: 1966-1969, the psychedelic explosion; 1986-1989, the birth of acid house.
