The current context of our Western societies and Christian Churches strongly questions the ideas of paternity and fraternity. Is there any Christian originality on these notions ? Starting the thought in the Christian student community in France, this essay presents, in the first part, the foundations given by the Divine Revelation. It then develops the way in which relationships between the different members in the community occur and regulate themselves. Finally, to follow the spirit of the encyclical Fratelli tutti, it seeks to present the Christian specificity of fatherhood and fraternity in connection with the challenges of the Christian community.
