The article discusses the training that the author provides in Algeria to psychologists and psychiatrists to help them care for suffering LGBT+ patients . He emphasizes the difficulty in belonging to this community in a society which is hostile to being different. Clinical cases support this statement based on excerpts from sessions where people struggle to assert their identity. They manage to make adjustments that require courage. They dare. Sometimes they are overwhelmed by self-hatred and disappear.
