English

Norms that concern gender and sexuality have an essential function of organizing and structuring human relationships. They are transmitted by parents and by the whole of society through the mechanism of introjections. But they are often an obstacle to evolution in society and to the subject asserting his/her desire. The therapist’s work will be to accompany the deconstruction of parental and societal introjects. For the latter, group work will be particularly well adapted if the therapist knows how to work with the different dynamics inside the group.
