This paper examines the recent emergence of professional sport, which appeared in the 1990s and was formalized with the adoption of the National Collective Agreement on Sports in 2005, marking the participation of professional sports in the social dialogue. The analysis of this empirical case demonstrates how power relations and alliances are deployed in practice among the various actors involved in the process at the level of a professional branch.
