The church is undergoing a serious crisis, which could represent an opportunity for change. This crisis is forcing the church to reconsider its self-representation and to leave behind its current theoretical model in order to rededicate itself to serving real-life communities. The church also needs to rediscover its missionary aspect. Ultimately, it is our relationships with others that might be able to help us, and the ecumenical dimension seems to be ever more indispensable.
