However, these studies did not resolve the question to know whether

emerged the figure of the controller as a business partner, partner

explaining the difficulties of making this change, we explore the
hypothesis that it is possible to make the role of business partner

signaled the country’s political will to prepare comprehensively
for the consequences of population ageing. It formalized the
findings of international research and public debates that have
long emphasized its scope and multiple implications. This article
reviews these issues by drawing on the experience of 40
high-longevity countries. In 2020, there were 4 times as many
people aged 65 and older as there were in 1950; in Japan, the
'oldest' country, their proportion has jumped from 5% to 28%, and
life expectancy has nearly doubled. The first part of this article
lays out the definitions and measures of population ageing, then
describes the diversity of the dynamics of these high-longevity
countries. The second part examines the multidimensional and
intertwined issues at stake, regarding health (What is the limit to
longevity? How is life expectancy in good health changing?),
demography (How are family and partnership configurations
changing?), and the economy via the problematics of social
protection models (retirement, assisted living, intergenerational

health on the African continent remains a weak link of the prison
system. Beyond the difficulties in caring for Covid-19 in
detention, prison infirmaries, where they exist, are rarely
integrated into the health system in practice. Administrations
provide little for the vital needs of prisoners. Dietary
deficiencies are frequent, skin diseases recurrent and prisoners
are most often dependent on the financial means of their families
or NGOs when it comes to access to health care. The social
illegitimacy of the prison population and the reluctance of States
to offer convicted prisoners what they do not guarantee to the
general population are two arguments put forward to justify what
amounts to necropolitics. At the same time, international actors
working in prisons essentially target pathologies with epidemic
potential, constrained by funding sources (UNAIDS, Global Fund)
supporting population-wide health strategies. Here we would like to
return to these two logics and develop an argument for a
decompartmentalized approach to prison health. Beyond the
recognition of individual health experience and epidemiological
concerns, addressing prison health globally contributes to the
restoration of prisoners’ dignity and rights by the State, a
necessary condition for the maintenance of citizenship beyond

indicator of the affordability of care. Objective: The objective of
this work was to identify the determinants of the renunciation of
care for financial reasons among women in a peri-urban area of
Abidjan.Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted from March
to May 2019 among women aged 18 years and over in Anonkoi 3 in the
north of Abidjan. The socio-demographic, economic, health status
and health care abandonment characteristics were collected using a
questionnaire. The associations between the renunciation of care
for financial reasons and women’s characteristics were measured
using logistic regression models with a 5% risk. Results: The sample
consisted of 423 women with a median age of 28 ± 11 years. Only 30%
of them had health insurance. The rate of financial reasons for
discontinuing care was 59.1%. This renunciation was more pronounced
for the purchase of drugs, biological examinations, dental care,
and surgical procedures. The number of dependent
