Loïc Langouët (1941-2018) était un spécialiste des méthodes de datation mais surtout un chercheur foisonnant ayant accompagné tout au long de sa vie l’émergence et le développement des méthodes pluridisciplinaires contribuant à l’archéologie. De ses recherches méthodologiques en archéométrie à son apport pour l’archéologie bretonne, en passant par sa carrière universitaire, cet article rend hommage à cet homme d’exception qui fut l’un des fondateurs du GMPCA et membre du bureau de l’association pendant 25 ans.

Hommage to Loïc Langouët (1941-2018)

Loïc Langouët (1941-2018) was a specialist in dating methods but above all a prolific researcher who accompanied throughout his life the emergence and development of multidisciplinary methods contributing to archaeology. From his methodological research in archaeometry to his contribution to Brittany’s archaeology, as well as his academic career, this article is an homage to this exceptional man who was one of the founders of the GMPCA and a member of the association’s board for 25 years.
