English

This essay retraces the path of sports sociology in the field of sciences and techniques of physical and sports activities (STAPS) at the time when the university integrated this new domain in its subject areas. Using the perceptions of an actor/agent, this approach hopes to understand the adaptations of a theoretical framework to a nascent discipline. The interest of this study resides in the epistemological limits of this ego-histoire. Thirty years later, the certainties and aberrations are easier to see. Time has done its work and the field has made its choices. The paradigms have changed.
