This article proposes a radical bifurcation of economic value based on the ecological reality of solar energy. What would happen if we set out to recalculate what each person, city, country and continent consumes and transforms, based on the availability of this source of life (through photosynthesis) and energy (through photovoltaic panels) on which most of our lives depend? How can we measure in “solar shares” the debts we owe to each other (human and non-human, today and tomorrow)?
