Presentation

The coronavirus pandemic has put our bodies under stress, making us realize its fragility and dependency. New ways of making body appear: feminist and environmentalist activism bring a body engaged in ethics and politics; the #MeToo movement and the disclosure of sexual abuse in the Catholic Church reveal the figure of the abused body; bioethical and technological transformations contribute to the refusal to be assigned to a physical destiny, as part of the project of a chosen body. According to the issue edited by Anne Dujin, the political assertion of the body outlines a new political frontier. Read also in this issue: the war in Ukraine, a new nuclear crisis?, building the Russian fortress, Ukraine’s resistance as democracy, global disease, and Michel Deguy’s poetic of relics.
