The current social discourse induces a permutability of the places of fathers and mothers, with the latter asking to be supported on a daily basis with the provision of care for the children. Fathers may find themselves playing a supportive role for their partner rather than assuming a paternal function and thereby paving the way for the introduction of a few other people subsequently. Due to fear of the virile position which can be interpreted in terms of masochism, and to a suppression of rivalry with their own father on the arrival of the child, fathers can find themselves in the position of a second mother. Scientific progress allows for procreations in the absence of a loving relationship between two subjects of different sexes. How can dissymmetrical and complementary places be inscribed for these parents of mono or heterosexual families?
