Revue CONFLUENCE : Sciences & Humanités
2 issues per year
Presentation
The Revue CONFLUENCE : Sciences & Humanités, supported by the UCLy Research Unit, is at the confluence of the life sciences and the humanities and social sciences. The diversity of the disciplines and units to which its committee members belong reflects its multidisciplinary and international ambitions. Its aim is to explore singular scientific subjects by promoting a cross-disciplinary approach. CONFLUENCE : Sciences & Humanités* offers two thematic dossiers per year, each containing around six articles. Calls for contributions serve as a framework. The editorial board selects a pair to coordinate the dossier for each issue. In addition to the thematic section, a "Varia" section may include:
- One or two articles not directly related to the thematic dossier.
- An interview with researchers or experts. This section gives researchers from different disciplines the opportunity to share the stages of their scientific careers and the points of interaction with their lives.
- One or two literature reviews or review papers on a specific topic, indicating new avenues of research. Each article respects the rights of the individual and the community. The journal honors several dimensions of the human person: physical, psychological, spiritual and religious, economic, social, with attention to the dialogue between science, culture and faith.

Evaluation process
Publication policy
The journal publishes original texts of no more than 40,000 characters, in several languages (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German or Italian), based on analytical and argumentative elements, and contributing to scientific debate. The journal meets precise scientific requirements, so as to be able to benefit from demanding labels in the future. Articles undergo a rigorous selection process, based on double-blind assessments by two reviewers specializing in the subject of the article, one of whom is external to the journal, to guarantee the quality and topicality of the research published. The journal publishes in both paper and digital formats. There are no publication or submission fees. The average time between submission and publication is around 50 weeks. Exceptionally, the journal offers the possibility of proposing an original translation of a text previously published in another language. The text will be proposed in agreement with the editorial board, and rights issues will be settled before publication. A maximum of two texts per issue will fall into this category.
Access policy
The journal publishes in paper and digital format, with open access on Cairn.info after a one-year embargo.
