This article explores the difference between baptism and Confirmation using the analogy of two “ages” or dimensions of human existence. Baptism corresponds to the receptive and filial dimension where divine life is received, while Confirmation inaugurates the generative dimension where Christians become capable of transmitting the gift they have received to others.
