Based on clinical experience in a correctional center, this article takes a closer look at psychotherapy with a prisoner incarcerated after having committed acts of terrorism. It discusses the method of patient care employed, as well as different elements observed during the course of the sessions, concluding with an analysis of the patient’s psychic dynamics. This clinical material could help lead to new perspectives on modern sectarian and religious movements. To date, there have been no other testimonial reports on therapeutic support for radicalized individuals. This first attempt tries to lay out some new clinical and theoretical considerations, along with a new healthcare and support plan for these specific psychological profiles.
