Former lecturer at Paris-Sorbonne University. Étienne-Alain Hubert has devoted most of his work to Reverdy, Apollinaire, André Breton and Surrealism. He edited the complete works of Reverdy for Flammarion and co-edited those of Breton for the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade collection.
