Emmanuelle Chapron is a professor of modern history at Aix-Marseille University and serves concurrently as director of studies in the history of the book at the École pratique des hautes études. Her research focuses on the history of libraries and scholarly practices (collections, travel, correspondence) in 18th-century Europe.
